They have a nice, open room with a couple large tables. But even if the greens were less than excellent the shredded cheese and dressing are consistent and delicious. I don't recall ever seeing them use basic romaine. The greens they use shift with the market/season. The caesar salad is pretty basic, but very good. ![]() I've had my share of deep dish and other styles, but a good, soft, thin crust is my favorite. Though thin, the crusts are soft but not soggy or too soft (and not cooked crisp like many places). You can get slices if you don't want to shell out for a full pie. The pizzas are thin-crust, large, and a bit on the expensive side. You'll find something you like to wet your whistle. They also have a small, but good, selection of beer, sodas, and wine. Everyone I've gone there with has enjoyed the fare. Hard to go wrong unless you stray from what YOU like. Their other pizzas are good too - so I'm told. I like their roasted pepper pizza too, though if you're vegetarian you'll need to ask them to hold the sausage. My mainstay is their mushroom special with a caesar salad and cider (they often, though not always, have cider on tap). I've been there several times, with family, with friends, and alone. working on his recipes and came up with a great menu and a fun little spot. A couple years back the owner of a new nearby coffee house saw the opportunity and took Leaning Tower over when the owner of the old place retired. This is an old pizza parlor with a new incarnation. ![]() ![]() Globalization sped up dramatically in the twentieth century with the proliferation of air travel, the expansion of free trade, and the dawn of the Information Age. ![]() British manufacturers could then sell their finished goods, such as clothing and blankets, to buyers all over the world-the United States, Brazil, Australia, even India. British factories made fabric and other goods from the cotton. Factories in the county of Lancashire, England, created madras cloth. Eventually, madras cloth was no longer manufactured in Madras at all-the Indian labor force supplied the raw material, cotton. Madras, a light cotton cloth, was made in the city of Madras (now called Chennai), a major port in India. Britain’s colony in India, for instance, supplied cotton to British merchants and traders. They also sold their goods in other countries. Many companies used raw materials from distant lands. Globalization was accelerated in the nineteenth century with the Industrial Revolution, as mechanical mills and factories became more common. The globalization of Christianity spread from Europe to Latin America through Christian missionaries working with the local populations. Many early European explorers were eager to bring the Christian religion to the regions they visited. When Europeans began establishing colonies overseas, globalization grew. The Silk Road, a trade route between China and the Mediterranean, promoted the exchange of ideas and knowledge, along with trade goods and foods such as silk, spices, porcelain, and other treasures from the East. In fact, there are cities named for Alexander in Iraq (Iskandariya), Egypt (Alexandria), and Turkey (Alexandria Troas). The globalization of Greek culture came with the conqueror Alexander the Great. Globalization in History Globalization has a long history, for example, Ancient Greek culture was spread across much of southwestern Asia, northern Africa, and southern Europe. As people, ideas, knowledge, and goods move more easily around the globe, the experiences of people around the world become more similar. Globalization results in the expansion of international cultural, economic, and political activities. ![]() Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world. ![]() ![]() Harry said that "'Heart of Glass' was one of the first songs Blondie wrote, but it was years before we recorded it properly. ![]() The song was re-recorded in a second demo with the same title in 1978, when the song was made a bit more pop-oriented. This original version was inspired by The Hues Corporation's hit disco song " Rock the Boat" (1974). For this reason the band referred to it as "The Disco Song". The song had a slower, funkier sound with a basic disco beat. This earlier version was initially recorded as a demo in 1975. Background ĭebbie Harry and Chris Stein wrote an early version of "Heart of Glass", called "Once I Had a Love", in 1974–75. Harry and Stein sold their future royalties to the song, and the rest of Blondie's catalog, to Hipgnosis Songs Fund, in 2020. Harry herself stated that "Heart of Glass" was, along with " Rapture," the song she was proudest of having written. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame as a recording of "qualitative or historical significance" in 2015. "Heart of Glass" ranked at number 66 in the UK's official list of biggest selling singles of all-time, with sales of 1.32 million copies. ![]() Slant Magazine placed it at number 42 on their list of the greatest dance songs of all time and Pitchfork named it the 18th best song of the 1970s. It was ranked at number 259 when the list was updated in April 2010 and at number 138 in their 2021 update. In December 2004, Rolling Stone ranked the song number 255 on its list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. It was featured on the band's third studio album, Parallel Lines (1978), and was released as the album's third single in January 1979 and reached number one on the charts in several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. ![]() " Heart of Glass" is a song by the American new wave band Blondie, written by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jan Stadler won the big Modern PTQ at MagicFest Ghent, and other players were doing great at big events as well. ![]() ![]() So grief + beast is the best, beast + beast the worst. If you used 2x beast it owuld look something like this Your damage with 2x grief for 1 hit from each hand = (400+400)*(1+400/100)=4kīeast has about half the damage but adds ~200% off weapon ED. Take these numbers below with a grain of salt as they are crude guesses but it should help you understand the general idea.Ī bvc has ~400% off weapon ED from strength and skills. The reason this matters less in pvm is because if you factor in the extra enhanced damage from merc’s might aura and other things the ED from beast is less significant and ultimately 2x griefs does more damage. You can look up the calc’s online, its in fact more complicated than what i described as they take into account everything (open wounds vs deadly strike for instance) but the main reason is the increased off-weapon ED. ![]() Even though beast has only ~half the damage of grief, the multiplier from the fanatacism aura is enough that your final damage is higher.
